Laser foaming
Foaming with a laser is used to create light marking on dark plastics. Gas bubbles form in the melt, and they are embedded securely when the material cools down. The bubbles change the light refraction properties of the material and make the processed locations appear lighter than the surrounding material. Optical effects, lettering, and symbols can be created in this way.
